Alexander Blok as a child. 1884. Photography. From the memoirs of M.A. Beketova: «Sasha was a lively, tirelessly playful, interesting, but very difficult child: capricious, willful, with violent desires and insurmountable antipathies. It was difficult to accustom him to anything, it was almost impossible to dissuade or stop him. Mother used to resort to punishments: sit on this chair until you calm down. But he kept shouting until his mother let him down from the chair without getting any sense».
Alexander Alexandrovich Blok was born in 1880 in St. Petersburg in the family of lawyer and professor Alexander Lvovich Blok and his wife Alexandra Andreevna Beketova.
